Dixie, the Pouting Beagle

It was time to trim Dixie's nails. I thought I'd give Bear's a quick trim too, although I normally avoid the chore because he has black nails and it's hard to tell how far you can go without hurting him. Well, I went too far...and hurt him....on the very first nail...and it bled....a lot....and he had quite the time playing poor pitiful hound dog afterwards (and he got loads of hugs and kisses, and I'm happy to say he survived). Anywho, so Dixie is never thrilled when she sees the nail trimmers, but especially not after hearing her brother yelp and smelling his blood on the tissue. She ran from the room like her life depended on, but this is her after the nail trim. She's ignoring me as I call her name over and over so that we can kiss and make up.

I don't blame Dixie one bit. Maybe she likes her nails long. Have you tried painting them?

Oh yes! Dixie would look adorable with french tips. Please do that and post a picture. That would rock.

You're lucky poor Bear didn't bite you. You mean nail trimmer, you.

By the way - that cute red chest in the background of that picture. Is that new?? It's so cute.
