We took a little trip to scrap yard in South Dallas this morning to say goodbye to our friend, the Cherokee. Sid stripped the Jeep of all it's key parts, sold what he could, kept what he wanted, and then loaded the remaining junk on a trailer. After waiting in a line for almost two hours, we finally entered the metal yard and said our final farewells before watching it be crushed before our very eyes. Who knows - maybe one day your washing machine or new car will have bits and pieces of our friend.

Can't believe you hadn't told me what an exciting morning you had yesterday. Ain't nuthin better than goin' to the scrap yard, ya hear? Must be nice to live up there in fancy Dallas and have all those amenities.
If I hadn't seen Sid with my own two eyes Saturday night, I'd wonder if he was still IN the Cherokee.
Kidding, of course.
