Poor Dixie

I realize I've been posting lots of dog pictures lately, but what can I say? I love 'em.

We took Bear to the vet today. Just Bear. Not Dixie. We put on his leash...he got excited...Dixie waited for us to put HER leash on....we didn't...I opened the door...Bear dashed out...Dixie tried to follow...I shut quickly shut the door.

I opened the door to catch a peak at Dixie, who I was SURE was highly irritated. This is how I was greeted (sorry for the blurry quality):

She didn't move. She didn't make a dash for the door. She stood there. Staring. Radiating disappointment. Poor Dixie.

Ha ha! Dixie is the Queen of expressions. My favorite is at dinner time. If we haven't fed her within a reasonable amount of time, in her opinion, she runs into the kitchen, scoots her metal food dish, runs into the living room, stops at my feet, makes a little grunt/whining noise, and then stares with her mouth half open....staring...staring..staring.If we happen to be eating, she stares at our plates, then our faces as if to say, "Dang you big fat lazy hogs...you have the nerve to eat before I've been fed???"

That's the same look she gave you when you dressed her up in that hot dog get-up.
